Gray Pearl Sheaffer Balance Statesman fountain pen - fine point

Vintage pens in this condition are uncommon. UV exposure turns lovely, transparent barrels dark and murky. This pen has like beautiful celluloid with very good clarity and color. I believe it spent most, if not all, of its life in a box. The only flaw is a bit of plating loss at the end of the clip.

The nib writes a smooth, wet, fine line. The filling system is freshly restored with modern, synthetic materials that will last for years with only an occasional dab of pure silicone grease on the filler rod.

This pen is comparable in physical dimensions to a modern Pelikan M6xx or Sailor 1911L (ProFit 21).
