Carmine Sheaffer Triumph Tuckaway "Crest"

This is not the original cap for this lovely little pen. The clip was broken on the original celluloid cap and I didn't have a replacement. I have substituted this 1/10 14k gold filled cap from a later generation Tuckaway. It has a few creases in the peak and several spots of lost plating. It fits and functions perfectly and looks good with the gold filled barrel imprint. The cap edge is round and does not bite the celluloid when posted gently on the end of the barrel. With the cap posted the pen is long enough for even large hands.

The celluloid is in excellent condition. The barrel has very good transparency, clarity and color. For a small pen it holds a surprising amount of ink. More than any modern cartridge or converter.

The nib is smooth, wet, firm and fine with a classic Sheaffer turned up point - ala Waverly.
