Black Sheaffer Balance Statesman - fine point

This pen is in magnificent condition. It is truly like new. The barrel transparency had this same light green hue the day it was placed in its box at the end of the production line.

There are no faults or flaws in the celluloid or trim. The pen seems to have lived unused and in a box since 1937.

The Statesman is the 2nd largest Balance pen Sheaffer made. It is comparable in physical dimensions to a modern Pelikan M6xx or Sailor 1911L (ProFit 21). I have large hands and find no problem writing with the pen without posting the cap on the barrel end.
