1986 Montblanc 149 Diplomat - Fine nib

Montblanc has become the best known and most iconic fountain pen for good reason. They are wonderful pens.

Purchased new they are quite expensive. Why buy new when you can find a competitively priced older pen that has been well maintained?

I have completely disassembled this pen for a full service. The mechanism and piston have been cleaned and lubed. The nib polished, the ebonite feed cleaned. I have polished the "precious resin" so that it shines like a Steinway. The pen is flawless - no lost plating and no marks in the resin.

The nib is a generous, Western fine. It writes a smooth, wet and wonderful line.
