At first glance this pen can be mistaken for an earlier, 1961-2, Sheaffer Imperial VI. The Imperial pens are Touchdown fillers. This later version of the same pen is a cartridge filler. Otherwise, it is exactly the same pen with the same, wonderful, medium, Sheaffer inlaid, 14k nib and a high polished steel cap.
A unique thing about this pen is that is still has its factory sticker and chalk marks. The sticker says "cartridge". The chalk marks say "1500 Lifetime, Med., $15.00". This is often an attractive feature for collectors. Therefore, I have not inked or polished the pen but left it as is. The pen has been inked at least once but has been thoroughly cleaned.
An empty Sheaffer cartridge will be provided with the pen.
