The fourth generation Triumphs (~1948) are the first Sheaffer pens to be made entirely of injection molded plastic. The third generation pens have celluloid caps and outer barrels. I love celluloid pens. But Persian Blue is the best thing about the switch to injection molded plastic. This color is just gorgeous.
This pen is beautiful and in tip-top condition. The ink-view grip section has excellent transparency. There is no plating loss or damage. The only complaint is two tiny scratches on the barrel below the left end of the manufacturer's imprint. At first glance they look like cracks but they are small scratches.
The extra-fine point has been adjusted to write a lovely, wet line.
