Sheaffer made at least two Triumphs with each model name. Three if you include the Tuckaways. So confusing. This is such a pen. This is the large size Statesman. There was also a slightly smaller Statesman whose nib is stamped 79 and has shorter tines. And there was a Tuckaway version that was even smaller - and cuter.
The caps of all Sheaffer Triumph pens were made to be posted on the end of the barrel if desired. That makes these pens long enough to be comfortable even in large hands.
This is a beautiful pen. The celluloid is in excellent shape with very good color. The ink view grip section has good clarity. I love the white dot on the peak of the cap.
The nib has a stubby fine point that I've adjusted to write a wet, smooth line. It provides subtle but pleasing line variation. Glorious.
