1942 Golden Brown Sheaffer Triumph Fountain Pen - fine point
1942 Golden Brown Sheaffer Triumph Fountain Pen - fine point
The original, 1st generation Sheaffer Triumph with a wide, deco, gold rolled cap band made from silver (coin silver) rather than brass. The end of the clip has a couple of spots of missing plating that show the underlying silver. Brass was too important during world war II to be used in fountain pens.
The barrel clarity and color are excellent with very little darkening due to UV exposure.
The nib writes a wet, smooth, fine line. The filler has been restored with modern, synthetic materials that will last years with only an occasional application of silicone grease on the filler rod.
