There are too few green vintage fountain pens. Was green not a popular color in the 1930s and 1940s? It seems there are far more black and brown vintage pens than green. Those are fine and good. But green celluloid has such amazing depth. This pen is no exception. Parker stacked celluloid is fabulously beautiful stuff. Amazing.
The barrel clarity is very good. The celluloid is perfect and without blemish. The lower cap band has one small spot of chipped plating, The bands are tight and straight. The tassies have some plating loss at the edges of the rings though it is difficult to photograph. The nib has an 8 date code but it's plating is gone. The jewels are the original striped green celluloid to match the pen. The filler should be a speedline but it is a later plastic plunger that fits and works perfectly.
The nib is a wonderful, wet, smooth fine or fine-medium. It is a firm nib but has a hint of softness.
