1943-5 Gray Pearl Sheaffer Triumph Sentinel fountain pen - fine nib

Sentinels are my favorite Triumph pens. I love the steel caps with the gold accent on the band and clip. I think it makes these pens look classy. Especially these second generation Triumph Sentinels with a striped celluloid grip section. The white dot on the end of the filler knob is just cool.

The cap has a few spots with tiny, shallow dimples. These are at the peak and around the level of the clip ball. The clip is straight and tight. It has some worn plating at the end and along the sides. The celluloid is in excellent condition and retains its original, pale green color.

The filling system has been restored with modern synthetic materials that will last decades. The only maintenance required is an occasional dab of 100% pure silicone grease on the filler rod.

The nib writes a smooth, wet fine line. The cap may be posted gently without fear of marring the celluloid. This makes the pen comfortable in almost any hand.
