This is a 1st generation Sheaffer Triumph Tuckaway Crest. There is an earlier Tuckaway from the Balance era but that pen is metal and has an open nib. Both lack any sort of clip, or clasp as Sheaffer called it on the later Tuckaway pens.
This is a small pen with a mighty nib. Most pens from this era have extra-fine or fine points. This is a medium or medium-broad that lays down a fat, wet, smooth line. It's luscious.
The celluloid is nearly perfect with excellent clarity. There is no plating loss at all.
The cap posts on the end of the barrel to make the pen easy to use in any hand.
The filling system has been restored using modern synthetic seals. An occasional dab of 100% pure silicone grease on the filler rod will keep this pen working for several more decades.
