There are too few green vintage fountain pens. Was green not a popular color in the 1930s and 1940s? It seems there are far more black and brown vintage pens than green. Those are fine and good. But green celluloid has such amazing depth. This pen is no exception. Parker stacked celluloid is fabulously beautiful stuff. Amazing.

The barrel clarity is very good. The celluloid is perfect and without blemish. The thin triple bands have some plating loss but they are tight and straight. The clip is straight and, like the tassie, has perfectly intact plating. The nib has the correct date code (15) to match the barrel but it's plating is gone. The jewels are black rather than the original striped green celluloid to match the pen.

The nib is wonderful. It is a wet, smooth fine. It is a firm nib but has a hint of softness. Not to be pushed in the least but it will display a touch of subtle line variation with normal writing pressure on good paper.
